It's really important that chickens get to forage. It helps them physically and emotionally. The problem is that predators will snatch a chicken if allowed. I get it. Chicken is delicious.
However, Grace Jones, Miss Pearl, Madam CJ, Tiana, Regina, and Peaches will never be on anyone's menu. They will live a long, bougie, protected life on the farm.
The purpose of the chicken tunnels we are building is to allow then to see new places on the land, to help condition it, and to forage to their hearts delight!--but without being abducted by Clint, our neighborhood hawk.
Happy hens lay yummy eggs. Eaten hens do not.
